Halloween is just around the corner, and there’s no better place to celebrate this spooky season than in the vibrant city of Nashville, Tennessee. Whether you’re looking for a night out or a more chill set of activities, Music City has something for everyone. In this guide, we’ll explore a range of Halloween activities in Nashville, from spine-tingling to wholesome.

To My Party People:

Haunted Houses: Nashville boasts some of the most terrifying haunted houses in the country. Test your courage at haunted attractions like Nashville Nightmare and Devil’s Dungeon, where you’ll encounter gruesome creatures, shocking surprises, and heart-pounding scares. These experiences are not for the faint of heart and are sure to leave you with unforgettable memories. While I would never test this out, I have heard of people pregaming the houses for an even more terrifyingly real feel. So, if the house itself isn’t enough, consider going tipsy…if you dare…

Halloween Bar Crawls: If you’re looking to explore Nashville’s nightlife scene, consider joining a Halloween pub crawl. These events allow you to visit multiple bars in one night, enjoy drink specials, and meet fellow Halloween enthusiasts. It’s a fantastic way to experience the city’s vibrant atmosphere during this spooky season. For the 2023 season, Trick or Drink starts at Kung Fu Saloon, Crawl with Us is hosting a crawl starting at Hard Rock Café, Crawl-O-Ween is starting at Bowie’s Nashville, and so many more!

Rooftop Parties: If you don’t want super scary and like being in one place, then you need to check out the rooftop parties. Nashville hosts some of the best rooftop nightlife, and you know everyone’s going all out of Hall-O-Weekend! Some of the local spots are Harriet’s Rooftop Halloween Party in SoBro, Shipwrecked in Midtown, and The Hampton Social Halloween Rooftop Party. Of course, there are tons more, but you can’t go wrong with any of these options!

For a Wholesome Halloween:

Pumpkin Patches: Nashville’s surrounding areas are home to charming pumpkin patches that offer family-friendly fun. Visit Walden Farm, Honeysuckle Hill Farm, or Gentry’s Farm to pick your own pumpkins, navigate corn mazes, take hayrides, and enjoy delicious fall treats. It’s the perfect way to embrace the season’s harvest.

Boo at the Zoo: The Nashville Zoo at Grassmere hosts an annual Boo at the Zoo event that combines the thrill of Halloween with the wonder of wildlife. Oftentimes, kids will dress up as their family takes them, but the zoo is for everyone! Enjoy a Halloween-themed event with tons of wildlife and fun snacks!

Pumpkinfest: In downtown Franklin, enjoy the 38th Annual Pumpkinfest! There are tons of food options, live music, activities, and more! This is a great time to enjoy a cute, Instagram-worthy town with good food and friends. If you want a more relaxed Halloween, then you should consider coming to Pumpkinfest!

For Anyone:

Ghost Tours: Nashville is steeped in history, and with history often comes ghostly tales. Join one of the city’s guided ghost tours to explore the dark and mysterious side of Nashville. From the spirits of the Ryman Auditorium to the haunted history of Printer’s Alley, these tours offer a unique perspective on Music City.

Day of the Dead Celebrations: Explore the rich cultural heritage of Nashville by participating in Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) celebrations. The Cheekwood Estate and Gardens often hosts a Day of the Dead event with vibrant displays, traditional Mexican music, and art activities for all ages. While I have never gotten to attend one of these events, they look absolutely stunning. This is a great way to celebrate such a vibrant tradition!

As you can see, Nashville has something for everyone this Halloween. Whether you’re in search of terrifying frights, wholesome adventures, or a blend of both, Music City has you covered. The diverse range of activities in Nashville ensures that you’ll have a memorable and exciting Halloween, no matter your age or interests. So, don your costumes, gather your friends, and get ready to celebrate Halloween in our fine city of Nashville, Tennessee.
